A memorable handle for any place on earth

Choose a handle, put a pin on the exact spot, and share the link. locates.me/your.name takes whoever follows it straight there - and when you move, or go away for the summer, you point it somewhere else.

How it works

1. Choose a handle Words joined by full stops, in any language - michael.stannard, the.blue.door, chalet.zermatt. Capitals do not matter and neither do underscores, so anyone who half-remembers it still arrives.

2. Put the pin on the spot Drag a pin on a satellite map until it is on the door rather than the roof, or paste in coordinates you already have. You can add a written address too, for the places a postcode does not narrow down - a postcode in Verbier covers the whole village.

3. Share the link Anyone who follows it goes straight to the map, on whatever phone they have. Change where it points whenever you like and the link never changes.

What it costs

A handle is £24 a year. The first month is free and nothing is charged before it ends - there is no card to enter until you decide to carry on.

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancel and your handle keeps working until the end of the year you have paid for.
